Looking some parts for my S-V L36

Inläggav Henry_EE » 01 dec 2014, 13:58

Greetings from Estonia.

I'm renovating my '67 Scania-Vabis L36 and looking some parts:
* Corner glass (left side / driver side)
* Rear glass (center)

Seems in future I'm adding some parts on list.

I'm glad If U can help me to find these parts.

With the best wishes from Estonia.

För er som kanske inte förstod, så letar Henry i Estland efter två bakrutor (av de tre som denna hyttyp har) till sin Scania-Vabis AL36 från 1967.

Henry, I guess the cabin is the same on both Scania-Vabis L36, Scania-Vabis AL36 (which is the model that you have) as well as their successor Scania L50.
The model L36 (including AL36) is produced between 1965-1968.
The model L50 is produced between 1968-1974.

There are plenty of these trucks still around in Sweden.
From time to time trucks of those models are also scrapped, so parts should really not be too hard to find.

This truck (an L50) was standing nearby my neighbourhood a year ago.

I guess the truck was meant to be scrapped.
Even though it is a crew cab it seems that the back of the cabin is the same as on "normal" cabs.

I can check if the truck still exists. The owner is not easy to get in touch with since he is living a bit distant from the workshop, but I can try to find him and ask if he is willing to sell a few of the windows.

I'm not very familiar with old Scanias. What's the difference between L36 and AL36?
Inside of cabin I found label where I can identify some letters.
"Cab type 1080 L36" "VoV 21 4??????????"
and another
"MA????"
"AB. Be-???"
"OSKARSHA??"

Sadly, some part of label is under the gray paint. Probably it's happen when someone repainted interior. ;-)

Here, these old Scanias are rare. More we can find old Kamaz, Gaz, Zil ;-) and these parts.

I will very thankful. The cabin is almost welded, handmade some parts (window frame, floor), painted and i'm puting together.
Seems I must find some more parts, because these are totally missing previously (ex ashtray).
From Germay I found new headlamps glasses and reflectors. (Bosch original).

Thanks in advance

Cab type 1080 L36 is the standard Cab, 1080 is also the lengt in mm of the cab.
VoV 21 4???????????? is the legislation test certificate number.
AB Be-Ge is the name of the company that produce all cabins for Scania-Vabis at that time and Oskarshamn is the city address.
It should also be a serial or unit number on the label.

Yes, I forgot. Serial number is 200529.
Stamped, not printed.
