Jag söker en växellåda med beteckningen ZF s5 35.
Den sitter på en vagn med drivning, det är en avkapad lastbil.
Jag har ännu inte sett skapelsen själv och kan därför inte komma med en egen gissning på fabrikat.
Enligt ägaren kan det vara en Volvo Starke eller liknande?

Isåfall är den vagnen en fd Volvo L465 Starke

Jag har en låda till N84 liggande.
Även en till F85.

Kan det vara något?

the ZF 535 gearbox is definetly to find in a Scania 36 / or 50. That is the normal gearbox in those trucks. If you need a high speed gearbox you should look after one like that because they are allso built as a ~0,74 or 0,69 . I´m not sure about that right now.

Thorsten, what do you mean with ~0,74 or 0,69? Does it mean what we call "överväxel", may be it's the same as an overdrive gearbox? That mean the 5:th gear is not 1:1, instead one engine cycle gives more than one wheel round.

yes that means `` Överväxel`` .
It is easier to ride on long distance rides.
I put it in my L 36 from 1967, and my wife said I shoudn´t do it because she is not riding the Scania to be quick on the road.... Well I changed the gearbox anyway , to find out what´s gonna happen... .
The good thing was the scania had also the 2 speed Backaxle, so we were able to go easily 70 km/h on the lower bit, and max 120-125 km/h on the upper gearing in the backaxle.
It really was a lot of Fun.
My wife took the Scania after I changed the gearbox and drove it on the Autobahn..... I really had my troubles to get after her. !!! Ladies ..


Oh, those gearboxes are sometimes put in normal small Magirus Deutz trucks. The mounted it sideways /on the side, not uprite like it is mounted in the scania. But you only take the top of the gearbox and change it over from the gearbox that was sitting in the scania. No trouble at all. It is all the same with ZF gearboxes.
